AV Over IP Distribution & Control Solutions at Antioch Church

Founded over a century ago, Antioch Church Baptist Church North stands as a historic landmark in the heart of Georgia. From its humble beginnings in a dilapidated basement with a handful of members in the late 1800s, it has grown to a thriving congregation of 14,000 members in a beautiful multi-level sanctuary. With this significant growth, the church recognized the need to enhance its audio and video capabilities. To ensure high-quality and reliable visual presentations across their extensive campus, they required a solution capable of distributing AV signals over long distances.

AEE Productions, based in Lithia Springs, GA, was chosen by Antioch Church for their excellent reputation and proven ability to solve complex AV system challenges. The system design was led by Mark Howard, Vice President of Operations, who brought 27 years of experience in providing AV solutions.

Antioch Church needed a robust AV system to accommodate their growing congregation and expansive sanctuary. With diverse needs and a sprawling layout, finding a solution that could seamlessly integrate into their infrastructure was crucial.

PureLink’s PureStream line of AV over IP encoders, decoders, and network switches was selected for its renowned reliability and quality. The VIP-300H-U, a 4K HDMI & USB/KM over IP Encoder with PoE, provided a plug-and-play installation, connecting multiple sources to displays across a local network using category cables and fiber interlinks between the VIP-NET-2404PP-1G network switches. The transmitters were easily configured to separate output stream channels via their front panel interface, and the receivers were matched to their corresponding signals. The AV over IP extension system was operational in no time and has been running flawlessly.

Additional PureLink equipment was installed in the sanctuary control room for video/audio switching and distribution. At the heart of the control routing is the SX-8800, an 8×8 HDMI 2.0b Matrix Seamless Switcher, complemented by the UHD2-140 distribution amplifier. PureLink’s iCON-10W, a 10 Button Programmable LAN/RS232 Controller, enabled the tech team to quickly route signals to the sanctuary’s four large projection screens and confidence monitors through preset automation.
